Welcome to the Nonprofit Fundraising University! This is the place to learn the fundamentals of fundraising. Nonprofit Fundraising Foundations are ones you will need to raise money for your organization. This course outlines the Nonprofit Fundraising University Approach. You will learn:

• Module 1: An Introduction to the Approach- Here in the first module, we are setting the stage and setting expectations. This module is also helping you get your mind around why we are going to be talking about things differently.
• Module 2: Know Your Donors- Your donor database is the single most important asset your fundraising has. It is the very foundation of fundraising. Every strategy and activity has its roots in individual donors. This module will explain ideal donors, donor acquisition, and donor retention.
• Module 3: Know Your Strategy- Knowing your strategy deals with three aspects of fundraising- your numbers, your strategy mix, and your strategy measurement. This pillar really embodies the 4 Principles of Sustainability we discussed in Module 1 Lesson 4. 
• Module 4: Know Your Plan- It may seem obvious- because you put the work into it. But you would be surprised at how many fundraisers go to the trouble of creating a plan only to shelve it, never to look at it again. So this is where we put in the routines that have us checking the plans and measuring if we are on track or not. This is where we put in the systems to support the routines and helps us not miss a beat when it comes to executing the plans we have.
